New Staff:
We are delighted to welcome Suzy Bower to the Bridge as our new secondary section development worker. Suzy will be continuing to deliver our highly regarded and creative lessons and Assemblies but will also be spearheading the development of our new ‘chaplaincy’ work within secondary schools.
We are also delighted to welcome Louise Pearce who will be working with Philly Lumby as primary section workers under Sally Kyte. We are experiencing high demand for our services in the primary section and are so pleased to be able to recruit new and talented staff to help meet this need.
Training week:
At the Bridge we are highly conscious of the need to keep abreast of developments in education as well as honing our personal skills as workers. The core team and a good number of the volunteers took the whole first week of term to learn from a range of practitioner trainers. Subjects included exploring prayer with young people, creative assembly planning, theological tools for understanding faith development in young people as well as looking at the demands and changes in schools.
