We consulted with over 120 staff and pupils to see what kind of difference having a Bridge Chaplain was making to their school - here is what we found...
(1) We are great listeners
(80% of students rated our listening skills 10/10!)Studies demonstrate that being listened to helps you to feel valued and accepted. In busy, fast paced learning environments the impact of a chaplains ability to carve out significant listening time cannot be underestimated.
(2) We help young people to be more confident
Of those who received one-to-one sessions, 90% reported a positive change overall and 80% assigned this change to an increase in confidence.
