Businesses

A group of eight well-dressed people, four men and four women, standing together smiling in a shopping mall near escalators and promotional banners for The Bridge Youth Project and Bradbeers, celebrating a social or community event with drinks in hand.

Supporting The Bridge Project can form part of your business’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments. Sometimes referred to as corporate philanthropy or corporate giving, it is a meaningful way to invest in your local community and help children and young people feel seen, known and supported.

Fundraising and donation ideas

Whether you organise one event, take on a team challenge or partner with us throughout the year, every pound raised helps us provide a trusted, listening presence in schools and communities. Here are a few ideas to get you started but we would love you to be creative and choose something that works for your team.

  • A person with a wristwatch and a red bracelet taking notes with a yellow pencil on a notepad at a cluttered desk. The desk also has a computer keyboard, a calculator, printed charts or graphs, and a laptop with a document holder in the background.

    Payroll giving

Give employees the opportunity to make a regular, tax-efficient donation directly from their salary. Even a small monthly gift can make a lasting difference.

  • A woman with long curly hair reading a children's book titled 'The Lost Sheep' to a group of five young girls sitting on a wooden bench outdoors surrounded by green foliage and pink flowers.

    Charity of the year

Choose The Bridge Project as your Charity of the Year and bring your team together around a meaningful local cause. We can help you plan fundraising activities, volunteering opportunities and moments to celebrate the difference you are making.

  • A woman and three young girls playing a card game at a school or community center table. The women and girls are wearing purple shirts and have braided hair, and they are engaged in the game while smiling and interacting.

    Sponsor chaplaincy in a school

A financial contribution from your business could help keep a trusted chaplain in a local school for another year.

A gift of £5,000 could part-fund a chaplain to be present in a school one day a week throughout the academic year, providing a consistent listening presence for pupils, staff and families.

By sponsoring school chaplaincy, your business will help create a safe space where young people can feel seen, known and supported, particularly during times of challenge, change or uncertainty.

  • A group of people running in a marathon with confetti on the street.

    Sponsored team challenge

Bring out some friendly workplace competition. Could your marketing team take on your finance team in a sponsored cycle, walk, run or rowing challenge? You could even take on something bigger, such as a skydive or endurance event.

  • A large gathering of people seated at tables inside a church with high vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, and wooden beams. A speaker stands on a stage at the front, with banners and a large screen behind him. The attendees are engaged in conversation and enjoying a meal or drinks.

    Quiz night

Host a quiz at your workplace, local pub or community venue. It is a simple and enjoyable way to bring colleagues, customers and friends together while raising vital funds.

  • A lemon glaze cake with lemon slices on top being sliced with a metal spatula.

    Cake sale

A workplace favourite. Invite colleagues to bake, buy and share cakes, biscuits or treats in return for a donation.

  • Four women standing in a room filled with donated toddler toys and children's items, smiling at the camera.

    Christmas giving

Instead of traditional cards or gifts, invite colleagues or customers to make a donation to The Bridge Project. Your business could also match the amount raised to double the impact.

  • A group of children and a man gathered around a campfire in a wooded outdoor setting, roasting marshmallows on sticks.

    Donate skills, items or resources

Corporate giving does not always need to be financial. Businesses can donate professional expertise, equipment, printing, event space, food, gifts or other resources that help us deliver our work and keep more funding focused on supporting young people.

Our business partners

We are privileged to work with businesses that want to make a meaningful difference in their local community. Their support helps us provide trusted chaplains in schools and communities, giving children and young people a safe, listening presence and helping them grow in wellbeing, confidence and hope for the future.

This is what our business partners say about working with us!

Bradbeers

“We are delighted to support the excellent work of The Bridge Project.  They demonstrate a heart of compassion for the children and young people with whom they work which is truly outstanding.  Schooling in today’s world can be daunting to say the least, but with projects like The Bridge we can be assured that support and encouragement, care and advocacy are available to all.  We commend their visionary outreach and look forward to many more years of supporting their activity.”

Greg Davies, Director

I.N. Newman

“At I.N. Newman Ltd,  we have been proud corporate partners of The Bridge for a few years now, specifically supporting their vital pastoral and well-being work at Alderbury & West Grimstead Primary School. From the beginning, we completely captured their vision of being a 'listening presence', journeying alongside children through their foundational primary school years.

On a personal note, I absolutely love being a regular visitor to the school myself. I am able to see firsthand the immense impact The Bridge Project does for those who just need a helping hand and a little extra support when life feels overwhelming. They provide a unique service to primary-aged children, developing deep relational support through a dedicated Bridge Chaplain. The Bridge meets children, parents and staff right where they are and in the moments they need it most.

We love partnering with The Bridge because they ensure children feel loved, valued and able to reach their full potential. In doing so, The Bridge Project team is nurturing strong, resilient individuals who will one day become the backbone of our local workforce. It is an incredibly meaningful investment in our community’s future."

Mark Newman, Director

Wilsons Solicitors

“Since partnering with The Bridge Youth Project in February 2025, Wilsons Solicitors has supported a local secondary school with several careers' events including a 'Soft Skills Workshop', 'A Mock Interview Day' and a Careers Fair with students in Year 7, 10 and 13 - where the level of engagement has been incredibly rewarding.

We look forward to continuing this partnership and supporting the great work The Bridge Youth Project do!"
