Careers
At The Bridge Youth Project, we are passionate about helping young people feel seen, known and loved.
Our work is rooted in Christian faith, hope and love, and is built around relationships. Whether through school chaplaincy, Third Space or wider community partnership, our team creates spaces where young people can be listened to, supported and encouraged to grow.
Working for The Bridge means becoming part of a committed, caring, fun & prayerful team. We value people who are relational, reflective, good listeners, creative and willing to serve young people in the everyday places where life happens.
Why join The Bridge?
At The Bridge, you will become part of a supportive team who pray for one another, share ideas, learn together and make space for fun along the way. We work hard, but we also value laughter, creativity, celebration and enjoying time together!
Our chaplains become trusted members of their school communities, working alongside pupils, staff and families throughout the academic year. They offer a listening presence in a busy world.
Our Third Space work extends this support beyond the school gates, creating welcoming and invitational spaces where young people can build community, explore life’s big questions and encounter Christian faith in a natural and relational way.
Across all our work, we are looking for people who care deeply about young people, can build trust over time and want to help them feel seen, known and loved.
What we offer
We want The Bridge to be a place where people are supported, encouraged and able to grow.
As part of our team, you can expect:
A strong and supportive team culture
Regular supervision and line management
Training and development opportunities
Space to reflect, pray and learn with others
Individual retreat days for personal reflection and renewal
A whole team retreat day
Access to retail discounts
Meaningful work rooted in local schools and communities
The opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people
For chaplaincy roles, there is also the opportunity to be part of a small cluster of other chaplains, creating space to share experience, reflect on practice, encourage one another and learn together, along with regular clinical supervision.
What our team says
-
"I joined The Bridge without any previous chaplaincy experience, but the training gave me the confidence and tools I needed from the start. I am part of a warm, supportive and highly experienced team, working for an organisation that is trusted in the community and genuinely valued by the schools we serve"
Nicky, Primary School Chaplain
