Leave a gift in your will

By remembering The Bridge Project in your will, you could help us:

• keep trusted chaplains present in local schools and communities;

• give young people safe spaces where they can talk and be heard;

• provide one-to-one mentoring and small-group wellbeing support;

• delivery of Christian curriculum RE and collective worship and workshops

• support children through bereavement, anxiety, family difficulties and times of change;

• offer care and encouragement to school staff and families;

• help young people explore spirituality, purpose and hope for the future.

Your legacy could help make sure that, long into the future, young people continue to feel seen, known and loved.

Suggested wording for your will

Your solicitor will advise you on the most suitable wording. The following may help explain your wishes:

Leaving a percentage of your estate

“I give [insert percentage]% of the residue of my estate to [full registered charity name], registered charity number [charity number], of [registered address], for its general charitable purposes.”

Leaving a fixed sum

“I give the sum of £[insert amount] to [full registered charity name], registered charity number [charity number], of [registered address], for its general charitable purposes.”

These examples are provided as a guide only and are not a substitute for professional legal advice.

Already have a will?

You may not need to make an entirely new will to include The Bridge Project. A solicitor may be able to add a gift through a legal document called a codicil.

It is important not to make handwritten amendments to your existing will, as this could affect its validity. Please seek professional advice before making any changes.

Do I need to tell you?

You do not need to tell us that you are considering leaving, or have already left, a gift to The Bridge Project in your will.

However, if you feel comfortable letting us know, we would be grateful for the opportunity to thank you and keep you connected with the difference your support is making. Any conversation will be treated sensitively and confidentially, and sharing your intentions does not create a binding commitment.

In memory of someone special

You may also choose to leave a gift in memory of someone whose life, faith or care for young people has inspired you.

A legacy gift can be a meaningful way to celebrate their life while helping future generations of children and young people receive the encouragement and support they need.
