An evening in The Close: Salisbury comes together for our schools

On 29th April, Susanna Deniston opened her home in The Close, Salisbury, for an evening that brought together local businesses, organisations and community leaders in support of our work in 23 schools. Guests heard directly from two of the school leaders we partner with: Rachael Faulkner, Deputy Head at Trafalgar School, and Richard Boase Headteacher from  Wilton CE Primary, who spoke about the difference our presence makes for pupils and staff day to day.

Around 50 people joined us for the evening, including our Patron John Glenn MP and the Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Lieutenant General Sir Andrew Gregory. We were also glad to welcome the business partners who sponsor our chaplaincy work: Carrie Clive and Joanna Holmes of Wilsons Solicitors, and Nicki Munday and Christine Cooper of Inn Gear.

Thank you to everyone who gave their evening to hear more about this work, and to Anna and Julia from Bradbeers for the beautiful gift bags guests took home. Evenings like this remind us how much this work depends on a whole community pulling together  and we are  grateful to everyone who continues to make it possible.
